Karyn began practicing tax in January 2015, after three years of working in the Fiduciary field. She worked for a public accounting firm in Mountain View, CA for five years until she returned to working as a private fiduciary managing trust and estates and starting her own tax practice. She specializes in tax administration and planning for individuals, trusts & estates and small businesses. In addition to tax planning, Karyn also prepares court and forensic accountings which includes litigation assistance, damages calculations and accounting analysis. Karin earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Chico where she was a member of the nationally ranked Chico State Women’s Club Volleyball Team and was Treasurer of the Team for two years. She is a board member of the Swedish Club of San Francisco Bay Area, Treasurer of the San Mateo Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) Chapter, Treasurer and an active volunteer for a non-profit delivering birthday cakes to underprivileged children. Karyn and her sisters founded The Dave Stiles Foundation, a non-profit in memory of their father which provides support to local schools and community members. In her spare time Karyn enjoys traveling, hiking, baking and teaching indoor cycling classes.
